WOODWORKING
For grades 3rd – 6th
Students build multiple projects during this course. Examples from past classes are: a picture frame, mini-rocking chair, basketball shooting game, paddle boat, step stool and many other projects. Stain & varnish or paint it and bring it home! Students will build 4-5 projects and take each one home. We student the rudiments of craftsmanship, including: how to adjoin four different joints, sanding, painting, varnishing, how to use a screwdriver, T-square, hammer, measuring tape and other basic tools. SAFETY IS OUR FIRST PRIORITY. No power tools will be used in class and safety goggles are provided for all students.

CERAMICS
For grades 1st-4th
Students create, paint and take home their very own hand-vase, Egyptian Relic, beetle bug and more. Each day students will design and decorate their own projects using tiles, clay and pottery. We’ll use these projects to explore multiple cultures and artistic elements from around the world. We use quick dry clay, so there is no firing or glazing…and no need to store the projects at school. Sure to ignite your child’s inner-artist!

Magic
For 1st-3rd Grades
Learn amazing magic tricks, illusions and sleight of hand. Share the joy of magic with your family and friends. Our Magic courses focus on the performance and patter with each trick. Students learn 3-5 magic tricks per class, practice the tricks with a partner, perform them in front of the entire class and take home all the materials they need to do their own magic show at home or with friends. Come join our class where the focus is on hocus-pocus!

DESTINATION MARS: ROCKETRY COURSE

For 2nd-5th grade
Launch and watch your very own rocket speed 300 feet into the air! Then it is yours to take home! Students will make and take home multiple rockets of varying difficulty throughout this session. We use these rockets to investigate basic aeronautical concepts including: propulsion, thrust, lift, drag and more. We will also hypothesize about travel in outer space, how to get a United States astronaut to Mars and life on Mars. Do you have THE RIGHT STUFF? NOTE: Parents will be asked to contribute two, 2 liter soda bottles (empty) for 2 different experiments.
